1500 students conferred degrees in 8th DUHS Convocation

KARACHI: Dow University Health Sciences (DUHS) on Wednesday organized its 8th Convocation at Ojha Campus to confer degrees to over 1500 graduates belonging to different disciplines.

The degrees were conferred upon the graduates of MBBS, BDS, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Technology, PhDs and other undergraduate and postgraduates of various disciplines. The convocation started with the national anthem. Provincial Health Minister Dr Sikandar Mandhro was the chief guest and Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammad Saeed Quraishi also spoke the gathering.

Addressing the Convocation, Health Minister Dr Sikander Mandhro has emphasized medical graduates to provide medical facilities as well as in the field of research. He said Sindh’s Public Government has rescued the medical colleges and universities in Punjab and the current government is giving special attention to medical education examinations, because the teaching hospitals not only provide medical treatment to the people of cities but also remote areas through teaching hospitals.

He said that his government has arranged a transparent entry test in the same day in the whole province as saying that the Chairman of this Admission Committee, Prof Dr Mohammad Saeed Qureshi and Member of all Medical Colleges The Registrar of the provincial government is always paying special attention to the health of the people, whose results come to the masses.

VC DUHS Prof Dr Saeed Qureshi, said that he did not have a long time, but despite the help of faculty members and syndicate, the management and academic system improved. Improvement of medical system in our priorities and it is very important for the standard medical academic institutions to form a healthy society, that they believe that teamwork, they have confidence in their team, with the same spirit, the university’s improvement, their future for the bright future. All the skills will be used.

On the occasion, over 1500 graduates awarded degrees,25 gold medals,30 bronze medals 29 silver medals.
