Abducted secretary freed, reaches home

QUETTA: Former Secretary Higher Education Abdullah Jan was freed by his abductors and he reached home safely Wednesday.

According to details former Secretary Higher Education Abdullah Jan was abducted by armed men on March 15, 2017 when he was going to civil secretariat from his home in Wahdat Colony. He remained in custody of abductors for 4 months and 11 days.

It was said that his abductors left him in Noshki and he reached home this afternoon.

Spokesperson Government of Balochistan Anwarul Haq Kakar told PPI that Abdullah Jan has reached home safely.

Atiq Khan Son of Abdullah Jan confirming release of his father told Newsmen that he has reached home safely. But he did not tell anything about payment of ransom. He said that his father was very weak and he was feeling difficulty in talks at present.

Meanwhile Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai and Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri have expressed satisfaction and pleasure over safe recovery of former Secretary Education Abdullah Jan.

They have congratulated his family members and relatives and expressed good wishes for his health and long life.
