Administration of LRH MTI removes sixteen employees from their services

Peshawar: Administration of Lady Reading Hospital Medical Teaching Institution under the Essential Services Act removed sixteen employees from their services and sent them back to Health Department.

According to the press release issued by administration of Lady Reading Hospital, the removed employees include Shehzadi Jameela (Nursing Superintend), Gulshan Ara (Head nurse), Sirajuddin Burqi (Clinical Technologist), Isam Gul (Clinical Technologist), Balqees Rana (Charge nurse), Murad Ali (Assistant), Astar Shaheen (Charge nurse), Johar Ali (Clinical Technologist), Mohammad Asim (CT Cardiology), Shams ul Taj (JCT Surgical), Ruidad Shah (JCT Pharmacy), Mohammad Ali (Ward man), Sartaj (Lift Operator), Shahid Maseeh (Sweeper), Ishaq Butta (Sweeper) and Munawar Lal (Sweeper).

According to the administration the strike in Lady Reading Hospital MTI has been totally failed and patients were examined at OPD, Emergency and Wards.

The Press Release further stated that a limited number of employees who were on strike had locked the doors of OPD and tried to stop treatment at OPD. However, the Hospital Director Colonel ® Doctor Hamid Saeed Haq and Medical Director Dr. Amir Ghafoor broke the locks and opened the doors of OPD for the patients. The patients, who have come from far flung areas, thanked the administration for its prompt action.

The Press Release stated that 1769 patients were treated at OPD, and 2338 patients were treated at Accident Department, however, 8 operations were also took place at Hospital.
