Karachi: Mohammad Akhtar scored heavily on the first day of 14th National Men Netball championship and helped Pakistan Air Force record two convincing victories on the day at PSB Sports Complex in Islamabad on Thursday.
Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) is organizing this tournament.
In the first match, Air Force overpowered WAPDA by 34-24 score – thanks to Akhtar, who alone scored 26 goals.
In another match, Air Force bulldozed KPK by 49-2 score. Akhtar singlehandedly lead his team to the big win scoring 40 goals.
Meanwhile, Sindh defeated FATA by 44-20 score. Fasial Rehman played well for the victors scoring 39 goals.
WAPDA beat HEC by 28-17 score. Yawar scored 16 goals for WAPDA. Army thrashed Sindh registering a 45-24 victory. HEC defeated Punjab by 28-18 score.
