Al-Khidmat asked to serve quake-hit people


KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter Amir Engr. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has directed the Al-Khidmat Welfare Society to utilize their maximum capacities to facilitate the affected people in the earthquake-hit areas.

In a statement on Monday, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the calamity.

The JI Karachi chief hailed the role of Al-Khidmat’s volunteers, who have already been engaged in rescue operations.

The JI’s welfare wing Alkhidmat has already launched rescue and support activities to provide help to the affected people.

He asked the Al-Khidmat Karachi chief Engr. Abdul Aziz to constitute teams of volunteers and professionals immediately so as they could be sent to the affected areas.

He was of the view that the extreme weather conditions have increased the miseries of the affected people manifolds.
