Anza Cup T-20 Cricket Tourney commences today

Karachi: The second edition of Anza Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament will commence here today (Wednesday) with the opening match to be played between Innovator Cricket Club and Pak Crescent Cricket Club here at Eastern Star Ground.

Chief organizer Zain Qureshi has announced a cash prize of Rs 25000 while the runner up will receive Rs.15000. Man of the match of every match will receive Rs.500.

A total of ten teams will participate in the tournament, which will be divided into two pools. Pool ‘A’ consists of Al-Hamza CC, Pak Crescent CC, Innovator CC, Hill Park CC and Super Quality CC.

Meanwhile, Group “B” consists of Northern Gymkhana CC, Azan TV CC, Saima Builders CC, Al-Amin Slat CC and Al-Habib CC.

Two top teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals. The league matches will be played at Eastern Star Cricket Ground, Rashid Latif Academy, TMC Ground and Nazeer Hussain Gulberg Gymkhana.
