Army asked to play due role to resolve prevalent impasse


KARACHI: President Karachi Transport Action Committee, Mohammad Ashraf Banglori, has condemned worst police torture on protesters in Islamabad and urged the government to resolve the issue peacefully.

In a statement on Sunday, he said that interior minister should be suspended over attacks on media persons and protestors raising voice of 180 million people and urged that government must stop using violence against protestors.

He further urged top leadership of Pakistan Army to play its due role for resolving issue between government and protestors. He said that media had exposed the true faces of corrupt leaders. He accused the politicians of plundering the national treasure.

He urged law enforcement agencies, including, Army, FC, Rangers and Police, to safeguard people and avoid fighting.
