BBMU’s uplift works expedited


LARKANA: Director, Planning Commission of Pakistan, Mohammed Rafique Hakro said on Thursday that due to some previous bottlenecks, the development works of Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana, were delayed but with the efforts of present Vice Chancellor, these works on development schemes had been accelerated.

Hakro said that all development schemes of the university will be completed by December 31, 2016 under the existing budget as envisaged earlier. He said that total expenditure of all the approved schemes is Rs 949 million, out of which Higher Education Commission had released Rs 550 million and buildings construction work was underway. The 65% of the works have so far been completed in Nursing Hostel, Nursing Institute, Academic Block, Auditorium & two Seminar Halls, and four basic units of post-graduation.
