Beautification of Kohat Project has been completed


Peshawar: Consultancy of Uplift and Beautification of Kohat Project costing Rs.267.451 million has been completed and practical work on it would be started very soon. Similarly Kohat, Karak and Hangu districts have mostly been cleared of permanent encroachments while temporary encroachments were being removed on day to day basis.

This was told to the Commissioner Kohat Division Musarrat Hussain Khan while chairing a meeting regarding Uplift & Beautification of Kohat Project, Anti Encroachments Drive & Widening of Roads and Water Supply & Sanitation at his office on Wednesday.

The meeting beside others, was also attended by the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Zahir Shah Momand and concerned officers of the district administration and line departments of Kohat, Karak and Hangu districts.

The meeting expressed satisfaction over the ongoing Anti Encroachments Drive however all the departments have been asked to identify their encroached areas and submit its report to the concerned district administration for early implementation on directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

The meeting also reviewed pace of work on Uplift and Beautification of Kohat project and directed the quarters concerned to expedite work on this very important project without any further delay.

Likewise, the meeting also issued directives for acceleration of work on OTS Chowk to Gulshanabad Chowk road being completed at a cost of Rs. 260 Million.

The commissioner Kohat, in his brief speech ordered the heads of line departments to ensure implementation on the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government being issued time to time regarding removal of encroachments and other developmental projects.

He warned that he himself would monitor the progress on developmental projects on monthly basis regularly and who-so-over found guilty or negligent would be brought to book and stern action will be taken against him.
