Peshawar: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in Peshawar on Thursday and visited earthquake survivors at the Lady Reading Hospital thereafter he met with party workers at Hamayun Khan’s residence.
Bilawal, who was accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Senator Sherry Rehman and local PPP officials, also prayed for the departed soul of those who died in earthquake.
Media which was invited for press conference address of Bilawal has to wait for hours for Bilawal but he instead talking to media remained very busy with Jialas who were gathered around him and were taking selfies with Bilawal.
Instead Bilawal, Sherry Rahman and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah talked to media and said that PPP and Sindh government is standing by with the earth quake affectees.
Qaim Ali Shah said that Federal Government has announced a meagre package for earthquake affectees and he being CM of Sindh has already dispatched two containers of blankets, tents and other things for the earthquake affected people which would reach KP by Friday and would be handed over to KP government.
At eve of Bilawal’s arrival at Peshawar all roads leading to the hospital were closed for security reasons, infuriating the relatives and attendants of quake affectees. Some of the PTI workers and attendants with patients were reportedly protested against the closer of hospitals for VIP movement.
