BRDCE Launching Ceremony today

QUETTA : European Union (EU), Economic Affair Division, Government of Pakistan have signed a Financing Agreement to support the 5-year Balochistan Rural Development & Community Empowerment (BRDCE) Programme, aiming to reduce poverty in 8 rural districts of Balochistan. Key stakeholders in this programme include the Government of Balochistan (GoB), Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP), National Rural Support Programme(NRSP), Rural Support Programme Network (RSPN) and Human Dynamics. BRSP’s targeted districts are Zhob, Loralai, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Washuk, Khuzdar, Jhal Magsi and Kech with NRSP. The Overall objective of the programme is to support the Government of Balochistan in reducing the negative impact of economic deprivation, poverty and social inequality, environmental degradation and climate change, and to turn this into opportunities to build and empower resilient communities participating actively in identifying and implementing socio-economic development activities on a sustainable basis in partnership with local authorities.

In this context BRSP is organizing a Launching Ceremony of BRDCEP on 10 November 2017 in one of the residential hotels of the province. His Excellency, Jean-Francois Cautain, Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan, Islamabad, Federal Ministers, Senators, Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Additional Chief Secretary P&D department, Members of National and Provincial Assembly and high official of Balochistan will attend this ceremony.
