Centuries galore as Omar Associates thrash Sialkot by record 366 runs


Karachi: Sidra Amin (176), Areeba Hanif (107) and Iram Javed (107) batted brilliantly and helped Omar Associates first made domestic record by scoring 450 runs and eventually beat Sialkot by 366 runs in 10th Mohtarma Fatimah Jinnah National Women cricket Tournament at Lahore Country Club Muridke.

Sidra faced 128 balls to scored 176 runs with the help of 23 boundaries and three sixes. Areeba Hanif scored 20 fours and a six in her 107-run knock. Meanwhile, Iram Javed played a whirlwind 107-run knock off only 68 balls with the help of five boundaries and eight sixes.

In reply, Sialkot scored only 84 runs before losing all of their wickets in 31.1 overs. Iqra Nawaz (31 not out) top scored for the side. Asmavia Iqbal captured four wickets for 15 runs while Sadiya Yousuf took three for 16 runs for the victors in the match.
