Chinese citizens’ security beefed up in Sindh

KARACHI: The Home Minister Sohail Anwer Sial on Saturday ordered fool proof security for Chinese working in the province for development works especially China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (C-PEC).

According to an official handout issued here, after the attack on Chinese man in Ghotki a day earlier, Sial directed all DIGs to bound concerned SSPs, DSPs and SHOs to make sure the security of foreigners working here be beefed up.

The home minister also asked police to assign special commandos and personnel deployed on security with additional responsibilities. He has also tasked the law enforcers to improve intelligence gathering and ensure coordination with other agencies in this regard.

It was pertinent to mention here that a Chinese got injured in the firing incident in Ghotki on Friday.
