KALAT: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has once again invited those with guns to wage democratic struggle and provide assistance and cooperation for peaceful and developed Balochistan because no problem can be solved at gun point.
He was opening Kalat Sports and Cultural Festival at a colourful ceremony here Sunday.
Provincial Adviser Khalid Langav and member National party Working Committee Comrade Rasheed Baloch and others also spoke.
Acting Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, provincial ministers Sarfraz Bugti, Aslam Bizenjo, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, MPA Prince Ahmed Ali, Commissioner Kalat Dr Akbar Harifal and others were also present.
Chief Minister announced Rupees tow million for Jashn e Kalat, Rupees 2 million for Levies personnel martyred yesterday, providing employment to three relatives of his family. He also announced four buses for students and teachers of Girls school, construction of new building for Model School Kalat, setting up picnic point at Harboi, building dams in Kalat by Federal and provincial governments, a big cricket stadium and other projects.
Chief Minister claimed owing to our positive policies situation in Balochistan has improved. Today’s situation is due to efforts fo present coalition government. Situation in Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar, Quetta and Mekran area improved.
He assured Hindu community in Kalat that we would take care of their dignity and provide security to them. He appealed to them to return.
He said Kalat is part of our history and it is incomplete without it. He said Khan of Kalat and renowned Saints belong to this land. Kalat has been hub of our historic struggle.
He appealed to the parents and notables of the area to save their schools form destruction and provide education to their children at every cost. He asked DDOs and DC to visit schools and suspended absent teachers. He said absence of teachers and doctors would not be tolerated.
Appreciating sacrifices of Assistant Commissioner Kalat and Levies Force personnel said that martyrdom of Levies man in yesterday’s incident is laudable. He said Levies police and FC’s struggle for peace in Kalat division is appreciated.
