CM visits QPC, condoles death of journalists

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch visited Quetta Press Club here Sunday and expressed solidarity with journalists over death of Bureau chief Online News Agency and Secretary General Balochistan Union of Journalists and others.

President Balochistan Union of Journalists Irfan Saeed, Senior Vice President Naseem Hameed yusufzai, President Quetta Press Club Razaur Rehman, senior journalists Saleem Shahid, President Editors Council Anwar Sajidi and large number of journalists were also present.

Chief Minister expressed heartfelt sympathy with journalists and condoled death of Irshad Mastoi, Reporter Abdul Rasool and Mohammad Yunus.

He said he fully shared grief of journalists. This incident is extremely condemnable.

He directed Secretary Home Akbar Hussain Durrani to call a meeting on law and order and take immediate steps in connection with killing of journalists.

He assured journalists that government of Balochistan would probe the matter and bring culprits to book. He also assured that whatever report judicial commission would finalise it would be made public. A judicial commission would also be constituted to probe recent incident in a transparent manner.

He also offered Fateha for the martyred journalists.
