CMCH’s paramedics close main OPD in protest


LARKANA: On the call of Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association, Chandka Hospital, paramedics of Chandka Medical College Hospital closed main OPD one hour before the closing time at about 1.00 pm on Monday.

The protested after they they received the news that police and rangers have arrested their 50 colleagues including their central general secretary Sharif Pallari in Hyderabad while protesting against the Medical Superintendent of LUMHS.

The protesters forced the doctors and patients to hold protest demonstration outside main OPD building after locking it, and chanted slogans due to which poor ailing patients suffered. Paramedics’ local leaders, including Zulfiqar Sahto, Shahi Khan Jagirani, Ghulam Hussain Jalbani, Khalil Jatoi, Barkat Khoso and others, while addressing the protesters said that their colleagues have been beaten up by the police and taken into custody without any logic as they were protesting against MS peacefully. They demanded immediate release of all the arrested persons.
