Islamabad: Major General Matar Bin Salim Bin Rashid Albalushi, Commander of Royal Army of Oman called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at PM House on Wednesday. Brig. Mohammad Bin Saleh Bin Al Shibli, Commander Sultan of Oman’s Army, Col Said Bin Bakhit Masood Tabook, Deputy Commandant Border Guards, Mr. Ryadh Yousaf Al-Raisi, Ambassador of Oman to Pakistan, Mr. Javaid Aslam Secretary to PM, Lt General (R) M. Asif Yasin Malik Secretary Defense were also present in the meeting.
Prime Minister said, “Pakistan attaches immense importance to its fraternal relations with Oman. The bilateral relations are historical, deep-rooted and based on commonalities of faith, culture and traditions.”
“Geographical proximity between Pakistan and Oman can offer a great scope to both countries to step up the bilateral relationship between the two countries.” Prime Minister said.
Prime Minister stressed the need to increase the Military exchanges between the two countries. He also emphasized the role that our training institutions can play in providing training to Oman’s Military.
Prime Minister cited the contributions made by Pakistani expatriates in Oman’s development and lauded the Government of Oman’s efforts in facilitating Pakistani workers.
