Daska killings: Legal fraternity observes strike in Karachi’s courts

Karachi: On the appeal of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), the legal fraternity of Karachi on Tuesday observed a strike the courts across the metropolis against killing of two lawyers in Daska.

The lawyers did not appear before Sindh High Court (SHC), Anti-Terrorism Court, City Court, Malir Court and other lower courts to show solidarity with the victims of Daska tragedy. However, the key cases were being heard by the court.

At least two lawyers, including local Bar president Rana Abbas and Irfan Chohan, were killed and others were injured in clash with police.

Earlier on Tuesday, the funeral prayers of two lawyers were offered, which were attended by a large number of their associates and family members.
