DC vows to make Hyderabad a model city
HYDERABAD:Restoration of Hyderabad beautify is our priority because it is our city and we all should work for its development and progress.
“We will make Hyderabad a model city to facilitate citizens,” said Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Syed Aijaz Ali Shah while chairing a meeting of Oversight Committee of Maintenance and Rehabilitation at his main office on Sunday.
He directed authorities concerned that tenders of development schemes should be awarded transparently and no political pressure would be accepted in this regard.
He stressed on timely completion of all development schemes. He further said that Singh government had approved a summary of remaining works of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Flyover and Provincial Highway Authority must complete work of flyover as soon as possible.
Superintendent Engineer of Buildings Department Hyderabad Akhtar Hussain Dawach briefed Deputy Commissioner about ongoing development schemes.
Senior Engineer of Provincial Highways Department Ameer Azam Wassan also briefed about 12 different development schemes which will be started soon. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Hyderabad Muhammad Usman Tahir, Director Planning and Development Amir Hussain Jatoi and other concerned officers.
