KARACHI: Program Manager, Prevention and Control Program for Dengue for Sindh, Dr Abdul Rashid said Divisional and District Respond System is being set up in Sindh province for prompt control of prevalence of dengue through effective monitoring, fumigation with help of divisional and district’s administration concerned.
Dr Abdul Rashid, while talking to PPI, said Divisional and District Respond System was being established in the province with approval of competent authority. He said that 10 employees would be hired for each divisional and district respond system on merit and in transparent manner. He said fumigation machines, spry vehicles, bikes and focal persons would be appointed in divisional and district level setups.
He said a total of 1,065 dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh province out of which six died from dengue fever in Karachi this year. He claimed that number of dengue cases had significantly dropped in Karachi as well in other parts of province.
