SIALKOT: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested two accused in a case of Rs330 million fraud by a local fugitive travel agent Mohammad Ikram Mughal, besides, recovering 4000 passports of the victims from a rented place adjacent to accused Ikram Mughal’s travel agency in Daska city.
FIA team also sealed travel agency namely Nimra Travels International in Daska city. According to senior FIA officials, an FIA team led by Inspector Shahid Mehmood raided a rented house adjacent to the said travel agency in Daska city, from where, the FIA recovered 4000 passports, kept there by the fugitive accused travel agent Mohammad Ikram Mughal.
FIA arrested the owner of the rented place Mohammad Akbar and Tariq Mughal (brother of fugitive accuse travel agent Mohammad Ikram Mughal).
A week ago, Mohammad Ikram Mughal had fled away from the scene after plundering Rs.330 million from the people belonging to Daska, Noor Kot and Shakargarh areas by offering g them lucrative packages of Umrah and Hajj. FIA had registered a case against the fugitive accused. Further investigations are underway.
