SIALKOT: Provincial Secretary Information and Culture Punjab Momin Agha has announced the early establishment of flood relief camps in flood hit areas of both neighbouring Sialkot and Narowal districts here, saying that the government was fully aware of the flood situation by ensuring round-the-clock monitoring of the persisting flood situation in the rivers and seasonal Naullahs.
He stated this while talking to the newsmen at flood-hit village Chahoor, in Pasrur tehsil here on Tuesday. He reviewed in detail the construction work of the protective dyke and embankment along the banks of the swollen Naullah Dek near village Chahoor-Pasrur and he directed the officials concerned to ensure the timely completion of this 5 KMs long protective dyke.
Punjab government was spending Rs. 50 million on this project to save the Pasrur villages from flood devastation.
