SIALKOT: Speakers of a three-day long awareness raising anti drugs addiction seminar on Sunday stressed upon the need of making all out collective and individual efforts to curb the menace of the drug addiction from the society, besides seeking the full support of all segments of the society for making the addicts as useful citizens of after their complete medical treatment and rehabilitation.
University of the Gujrat (UoG) Sialkot Campus was organizing three-day long anti drugs addiction awareness raising seminar here. The key speakers including Dr Anwaar Ahmed, Dr Mohammad Aslam Dar, Dr Jamil Chaudhary and others said that the addicts were indulging themselves into the drugs addiction due to social injustice in the society.
They said addicts were the rejected people by the society and they deserved early care and affection by all segments of the society which had become vital for the early their rehabilitation through their medical treatment for making them the useful citizens of the society.
The speakers were of the view that the drugs addicts could become useful citizens of the society with the help of good social aptitude towards them. They also highly hailed meritorious services being rendered there by local NGOs to the ailing humanity.
They were of the view that the active NGOs busy in serving the ailing humanity should be encouraged at every level by the government and the people as well.
They added that the students and the teachers could also play a pivotal role in elimination of the drugs addiction from the society. They said addicts could also be made useful citizens of the society through proper care, love, affection and treatment under the umbrella of the direly needed lenient aptitude.
