CHAGAI: Better results would be accrued form running Pak-Iran commercial train. Business community should take benefit from this opportunity. Pakistan Railways is ready to reduce its fair than road expenses in a bid to promote two days trade. Upgradation of Quetta-Zahidan section of Pakistan Railways would be carried out shortly. Its PC-1 has already been prepared.
This was stated by Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railways Quetta Division Faiz Mohammad Bugti while speaking to Newsmen during his visit to Railways Officers Club in Dalbandin.
DS Railways Quetta said he would be attending a 2-day meeting in Zahidan on August 19 of Pak-Iran Joint Border trade committee. He would be accompanied by Customs, FIA officials and business community members. He hoped that good results of this joint meeting would accrue.
He said Railways is a national asset which plays significant role in country’s development. No one would be allowed to capture railways lands. He also hinted an operation for relieving railways captured land in Dalbandin and said that under the first phase all illegal occupants would be issued notices to vacate the area.
He said owing to untiring and sincere efforts of Minister for Railways Khwaja Sa d Rafiq Pakistan railways has stood on its feet and its budget has increased sufficiently which is no less than any extraordinary change.
