Four die, seven injured in incidents


KARACHI: Four people, including two women, were killed and seven others injured in different incidents in the metropolis on Tuesday.

Two women, Kauser Sultana, 40, wife of Mohammad Khan, and Noreen, 26, wife of Imran, were killed while their husbands, Mohammad Khan, 50, and Imran, 30, resident of Liaquatabad, injured when a speeding vehicle hit them while they were riding motorcycle in Bhains Colony Road No. 4. The bodies and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsies and treatment, respectively.

A man, Humayun Khan, 60, son of Ahmad Khan, was electrocuted during work at his home in Nawab Colony, Baldia No. 4. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for a postmortem.

Mohammad Hanif, 25, Abdur Rasool, died after falling from a K-Electric pole in Tariq Road. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

In another accident, a girl, Neelum Perveen, 20, daughter of Zakir, and her father, Zakir, 55, son of Rasheed, were critically injured when their motorcycle was hit by a dumper-truck near 4-K Chowrangi in New Karachi. Both the injured were taken to JPMC for treatment.

Two men, Imran, 30, and Raees, 45, were hit and injured by a speeding vehicle Near Keamari Gate No. 14. They were brought to CHK for treatment.

Yet in another incident, a man, Naseem Dar, 50, son of Marshal Khan, was injured when a vehicle hit him in Paracha Chowk area of Shershah. He was brought to CHK for treatment.
