Four killed, four injured in city


KARACHI: Four people were killed and four others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

A man, Mian Syed Jalal, 45, was gunned down by unknown armed men at Qazzafi Town in Landhi area. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.

The strangulated body of a youth, Raja, 25, was recovered from Noor Graveyard near Shafoq Morre. It was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

The body of a man, Aamir, 36, son of Abdur Rehman, was recovered from Bashir Chowk in New Karachi. It was brought to ASH for an autopsy.

According to rescue sources, a man, Joseph, committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in Zia Colony, Korangi. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, a policeman, Shah Nawaz, 38, son of Haji Khan, was shot and injured when unknown gunmen opened fire on him near FTC Bridge on Sharah-e-Faisal. He was rushed to the JPMC for treatment.

One Habib, 35, was injured to bullets of unknown assailants at Pakistan Bazaar in Orangi Town. He was brought to ASH for treatment.

A man, Hazrat Gul, 47, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near Siemens Chowrangi in SITE area. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.

An ex police officer (DSP), Ammanullah was injured when unknown gunmen opened fire on his car in Gulistan-e-Jauher. He was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
