QUETTA: Delay in the dispensation of justice is like refusal of justice.
This was stated by Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai while addressing 11 th Convocation of University Law College here Tuesday.
Provincial Ministers, senior lawyers, teachers of Law University and parents attended in large number.
Governor appreciated Principal Law College and his team for their efforts for holding convocation in short span of time. He said law is respectable profession and there are immense opportunities in different department.
Referring to two chief justices of Balochistan High Court who were elevated as Justice of Supreme Court and said it was an honour for the province.
He asked graduating students that better future awaits them.
He termed expansion of library at the College and Lincoln Corner contact as good.
He said Bench and Bar are enforcers of rule of law in the country. He said supremacy of justice and dispensation is basic right of human society. Without which from family to State would disperse.
Governor asked the students they have assumed difficult responsibility of clarification of law and dispensation of justice and there is need to pass through ups and downs.
He expressed concern that difficult procedure at the subordinate courts has made provision of justice delayed and it should be improved.
He called upon new law graduates to take benefit of their knowledge and ability without wasting any further time. He told that society pins high hopes in them and he believed they would come to these expectations.
Later Governor conferred degrees to 36 LLM and116 LLB girl and boy students. Five candidates were awarded gold medals.
Vice chancellor University of Balochistan Dr Javaid Iqbal spoke on the occasion while Principal Law College Barrister Amanullah Achakzai presented academic report.
