Independence Day celebration activities kick off at DUHS

KARACHI: To celebrate Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) has kicked off different activities from 1st to 14th August 2017.

The aim of the celebration is to encourage students to participate in the celebratory events. The inauguration ceremony was held at Dow Medical College auditorium. The event was opened by Vice Chancellor, Prof Saeed Quraishy. Pro VC Prof Khawar Saeed Jamali, Principal Prof Kartar Dawani, Vice Principle Prof Adnan Aziz, other faculty members, as well as students attended the inauguration ceremony.

The ceremony started with national anthem. Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of Independence Day. He also reminded the collective sacrifices rendered by thousands of people for achieving independence. Later on, Dr Adnan Aziz briefed about different activities to be held during this Independence Day.

Later on, Vice Principle Prof Adnan Aziz paid vote of thanks to the participants.
