JI believes in democracy: Naeem

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that his party fully believes in democracy and in fact it is the most democratic political party of the country.

He expressed these views while addressing a ‘workers’ congregation’, organized by JI District Central in Masjid-e-Quba here on Monday.

He said that the history of the country shows that military courts and military operations had never resolved the issues. However; JI for the safety of prevailing democratic system and constitution has swallowed the bitter pill of military courts.

“JI through electoral reforms wants implementation on Islamic laws in the country, he added.

JI District Central Amir Munim Zafar Khan has said that the JI was a movement to make Pakistan a true Islamic country. He said they will launch a campaign for restoration of ‘Nizam-e-Mustafa’ during the sacred month of Rabi- ul-Awwal.

The annual performance report of all zones of District Central was presented on the occasion.
