Peshawar: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has appreciated the role of coalition partners including Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in the mission of bringing change and the eradication of corruption. He was talking to a delegation of JI which called on him under the leadership of Naib Ameer Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Khalil here in CM Secretariat on Wednesday.
The delegation was comprising of member provincial assembly, Mohammad Ali, Bahrullah Khan advocate, Shahab Hussain and Imdad Khan Khalil. During the meeting the delegation discussed overall political situation of the province and particularly the performance of the provincial government and its different departments and progress on the achievement of targets in that regard.
The Chief Minister said that both parties sharing the joint sincere struggle for service of the people and provision of exploitation free and transparent system to them. He expressed the hope that all coalition partners would enter the next phase of local bodies’ polls with full confidence and would get more public mandate than other political parties as they have no personal greed, rather their efforts are aimed at guaranteeing justice, merit and supremacy of law.
The delegation also appreciated the dynamic leadership of Pervez Khattak for the speedy implementation of the agenda of reforms and change in the province and assured him full cooperation.
The Chief Minister termed the holding of the Martyred Peace Conference in Peshawar in backdrop of Peshawar terror incident as milestone step. He expressed the hope that with the unity and solidarity of all political forces not only Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rather the whole country would be turned into a cradle of peace and harmony.
He agreed with the contention that strong and stable Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could guarantee peace and progress in the whole country and it would be only possible when federal government ensure the provision of all rights and powers to the province without any delay.
