JPMC man dies of dengue


KARACHI: A ward boy of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) died from dengue viral fever on Thursday; taking this year’s death toll from the viral disease to eight.

A 41-years-old Taswar Hussain, employees of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre died of dengue fever during treatment. He was admitted to the Ward-7 of the hospital for last few days.

Deputy Director Admin & Focal Person, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Dr Jawaid Akhter Jamali confirmed the death of Taswar Hussain from dengue fever during treatment.

A total eight dengue patients have died from dengue viral fever since 1st January 2015 so far, while about 3,000 dengue fever cases reported from Karachi alone.
