LARKANA: Sindh’s Senior Minister for Information and Education, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, has said that if teachers properly use their skills for imparting education, they can bring up better students who will become better leaders of tomorrow.
He was inaugurating uplift work at Government Girls Primary School located in Chandka Colony here with cost of Rs 1.28 million. He visited classrooms and asked questions from the girl students to know about the standard of education in his home district.
Khuhro directed the headmistress to increase enrolment of girls and assured them to resolve all their pending issues. Later, he inaugurated science laboratory constructed under Larkana Package at Government Pilot Higher Secondary School where he directed the school administration to provide all necessary facilities required for practicals.
He was briefed by the education works department officials that the lab had been constructed at the cost of Rs 11.757 million. Khuhro went through drawing hall of the school where students’ paintings and drawings were also displayed for which he directed the principal to ensure writing of names, date and school name of the students who have prepared these art pieces so that visitors must know about the inventors.
The minister in the end inaugurated additional classrooms of Saint Joseph School constructed at the cost of Rs 4.5 million. He appreciated the efforts made at the IT Lab. He also visited the new under-construction building of Girls Degree College where he was briefed by Superintendent Engineer Ferozuddin Siddiqui and XEN Khalil Shaikh of education works.
