Peshawar: Students of Landikotal Degree College hold protest demonstration in favour of their genuine demands. Hundreds of Landikotal Degree College held out a protest demonstration from college to High School Landikotal.
The protesting students were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against political administration. Their genuine demand was about admissions to four hundreds new students hailing from Landikotal and their second demand was about the starting of the second shift classes to facilitate the students.
The Landikotal college students alleged that the college administration was not giving their scholarships on time, adding that their scholarships should be increased as per their needs.
The protesting students also alleged the local political administration for not meeting their long standing genuine demands, adding that there was acute shortage of potable water and was a need to install solar panels to facilitate the students.
The college students asked the political administration to issue funds to start second shift classes so that the deprived four hundreds new students could be given admissions. They warned to hold more protests demonstrations in the near future if their genuine demands were not met soon.
Meanwhile Political Agent Khyber Shahab Ali Shah assured the students that funds would be granted to begin second shift classes in Landikotal Degree College, saying that every student would be given admission so that they could be provided the opportunity to continue their education.
Separately, the PML-N youngsters also held out a rally in Landikotal bazaar in favour of the federal government and to strengthen the democracy in the country. Israr Shinwari in this occasion urged the protesters in Islamabad to get dispersed peacefully in favour of parliament and democracy, adding that the prolonged protests have hurt the country economy and system.
