Minister: (Culture of merit, transparency revived in country: Pervaiz)


ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that the culture of merit and transparency has been revived to take the country forward.

He was addressing the trainee officers inducted in the news, program and engineering departments of Radio Pakistan at Pakistan Broadcasting Academy here on Wednesday.

He said Radio Pakistan has taken the lead to revive the culture of merit by recruiting the new officers purely on merit. He said the national broadcaster deserves appreciation for evolving such a mechanism that shut the doors for any illegal recruitment.

Director General Radio Pakistan Imran Gardezi also spoke on the occasion. Later talking to the media persons, the Information Minister urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf to become part of solution in the reform process for the wellbeing of the masses.

He said the federal government has not created obstacles in the reforms program of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We expect the same from the PTI.
