ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said that PML (N) government has secured remarkable achievements in elimination of terrorism, solution of energy crisis and improvement of economy.
He was talking to newsmen after a ceremony in Lahore on Sunday. He said law and order situation has improved considerably in the country due to concrete government measures. He said the whole world community accepts that Pakistan has eliminated the menace of terrorism considerably.
He said that PTI leadership wasted two and half years of nation and country on baseless allegations of rigging in general elections of 2013, however he could never prove those allegations.
He urged them to support PML(N) Government in its public welfare works, during the remaining two and half years of present tenure as a lot is need to done for the progress and development of the country.
He said the international observers had termed the 2013 general elections as free, fair and transparent however PTI leadership did not accepted that. He said that PTI leadership also refused to accept the verdict of Judicial Commission.
Earlier, addressing a function of Electronic Media Producers Rights Association in Lahore, the Information Minister said the government fully believes in freedom of expression and it has taken all possible measures to ensure it. He said effectiveness of media is very powerful and it should play its due role in the development of the society.
