MQM protests against threats to Altaf Hussain

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) held a protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club here on Sunday against ‘issuance of threats to Altaf Hussain’ by Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz through a video on social media.

A large number of MQM workers, including party leaders, took part in the protest. They were carrying banners and placards, raising slogans against Maulana Abdul Aziz for what they called issuing threat to their party chief.

Speaking on the occasion, MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi said that any extremist cannot harm our leader through a video.

He said: “It is not the first time that their leader has received threats but in the past, threats were also issued to him by such personalities. He said that time has come to get united now to eradicate terrorism in Pakistan. He said, “We stand with Pakistan Army.”

Rabita Committee In charge Qamar Mansoor and Gul Faraz Khan Khattak also spoke on the occasion.
