MQM to launch four-day token hunger strike from Feb 19


KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday announced to hold a four-day token hunger strike against the ban on broadcasting of speeches and pictures of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

According to MQM MNA Dr Farooq Sattar, the token hunger strike will be staged outside the Karachi Press Club from February 19 to 22.

He said the MQM leaders, workers and parliamentarians will join the strike from 11 am to 11 pm for four days. He demanded that the ban on broadcasting of Altaf Hussain’s speeches and picture be lifted under Article 19 of the Constitution of Pakistan.
