Mujahid Gymkhana, AO Clinic enter semifinals

Karachi: Lahore’s Mujahid Gymkhana and host AO Clinic moved into the semifinals of 22nd Dr. M.A. Shah Night Trophy 2017 underway here at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium.

Mujahid Gymkhana defeated i3H Emerging Talent by two wickets in nail biting finish. i3H Emerging Talent batted first and put on board 192 losing all of their wickets in 20 overs. Sufiyan Khan scored 40 runs off 22 balls and Deedar Azeem made 32 runs off only 11 balls. Ali Raza bowled well and took four wickets for 38 runs.

In response, Mujahid Gymkhana reached the victory total on the last ball of its inning. Opener Asad Ali played a brilliant 109-run knock off 51 balls.

Meanwhile, Sojhla Cricket Club of DG Khan batted first against AO Clinic and scored 100 runs before losing all of its wickets in 19.2 overs. Shokat Ali top scored for the side with 30 runs. Ali Meher, Imran Ali and Bilal Asif picked two wickets each.

In reply, AO Clinic easily achieved the target in only 8.1 overs with nine wickets in hand. Kamran Ghulam batted well scoring an unbeaten 46 runs knock off only 27 balls. Shahbaz Javed also played a quick and unbeaten 43-run knock off only 21 balls.
