ISLAMABAD:Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has said that the Bureau is fully committed to root out corruption from the society.
Inaugurating a Forensic Laboratory setup with Australian Police assistance here in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said it will greatly help NAB in investigations. He said NAB is better equipped now and can also help other departments in investigations.
He said new Standard Operating Procedures have been adopted to eliminate corruption. He said monitoring and evaluation system has been installed to augment the capacity of NAB.
He said 92 percent old cases have been cleared now and pending cases will be cleared by the end of this year. He said ten months have been fixed for investigation of every case. He thanked to Australian Federal Police to provide forensic technology.
Later, talking to media, Chairman NAB said the first phase of investigation into the Nandipur Power project has been completed.
