OIC Secretary General Iyad calls on Governor KP to express sympathy


Peshawar: The visiting Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Mr. Lyad Ameen Madani called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Saturday and expressed deep sense of sympathy and solidarity over the tragic incident of terrorist attack on Army Public School few day back in Peshawar.

They terrorists can not be called Pakistanis, Muslims or even human beings because of their deplorable acts. They do not deserve any sympathy for their inhuman act and I am here to express deep sense of feelings of OIC”, the Secretary General said.

Talking on this occasion, the Governor welcomed the distinguished guest for coming all the way immediately after the tragic incident which has shocked the entire world. From humanity point of views, he said, it was an act of beyond our imagine as our children were targeted this time. The spirit of brotherhood which OIC has expressed, he added, is a source of encouragement and we as a nation are firm on our commitment to root out the menace of terrorism.

The problem of terrorism, the Governor said, is a common issue of both Afghanistan and Pakistan and our government has a very clear appraisal of the ground realities. Responding to the deep sense of brotherhood of the distinguished guest, the Governor said, we are great full for joining us in this hour of grief and requested him to present the stance of our beloved motherland before the world community. In this hour of trial, the Governor said, Pakistan consider itself a face of the Islamic world and its success is also must to develop the better image of the Umma too.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of OIC said, he is here to express deep sense of feeling of the members of the OIC with Pakistani brethren and his visit to Peshawar is especially meant to express sympathies with bereaved families.
