ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 47% Pakistanis believe that the Taliban were most responsible for the terrorist attack on Army Public School on 16th December 2014.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “In your opinion, who was the most responsible for the terrorist attack on Army Public School on 16th December 2014?”
In response, 47% mentioned Taliban, 22% mentioned Indian agencies, 17% mentioned American agencies and 8% mentioned Afghan agencies. 3% also mentioned Pakistani agencies and 1% mentioned Pakistan Army. 2% gave other responses.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1826 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during December 21 – December 28, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
