Orangi Town Project launches recovery campaign


KARACHI: Following the directive of administrator Karachi, the Orangi Town Project launched special campaign for recovery of dues amounting to Rs160million from different organizations.

According to details, K-Electric, PTCL, Police Department, District Municipal Corporation West and other organizations including Health Department Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Veterinary Department and Health Department Sindh were among the defaulters of Orangi Town Project.

Meanwhile, in a meeting chaired by the Project Director Orangi Mohammad Rizwan Khan all defaulters were warned to refrain from challenging KMC’s writ as all dues will be recovered. The meeting also decided to take legal action and go to the courts in this connection.

The project director also decided to digitize the land record and suggest some corridors of Orangi for their commercialization to raise the resources.

The meeting was also attended by Additional Director Recovery Mohammad Aziz Khan and others.
