LARKANA: Sindh’s Senior Minister for Information and Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said the people protest against lawlessness, uncleanliness, worst load shedding and other social evils, but they should also hold the protests at the doors of ghost teachers to force them to discharge legal duties.
He was addressing Future Leaders Conference held at Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Library late on Monday evening, which was organized by Youth Parliament. He said that if youth who consists of 60% of the population impart education to children living in their neighbourhood just only for half an hour daily, we would be able to eliminate illiteracy.
Khuhro said that they are the future hope of the country and if they remain away from the problems facing country then we would be pushed behind. He said it is easy to criticize others but you must work for the betterment of the masses. He said that 12th October is a black day in the country’s history, adding on that day a general overthrew an elected government and sent Nawaz Sharif behind bars.
Khuhro said though Nawaz Sharif do not belong to their party but they condemned the action of Musharraf and protested because Nawaz Sharif was the constitutional Prime Minister. Khuhro claimed that Sindh is only province where seats are reserved for youth for upcoming local bodies elections and credit for it goes to Biblical Bhutto Zadora.
“Now youth between 21-25 years are also taking part in these polls. Khuhro said that dictators had always weakened the people, who took the name of democracy, through whippings. He said that Pakistan is the largest Islamic country where youth will have to shoulder responsibilities to enhance enrolment in the schools.
