ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan has rendered invaluable sacrifices in war against terrorism and Operation Zarb e Azb is yielding very positive and fruitful results.
He was talking to Secretary Supreme National Security Council of Iran Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani who called on him here on Thursday. The two sides expressed grief and sorrow with each other over the tragic incidence of Mina in which citizens of both countries passed away.
The Prime Minster said that Pakistan and Iran are brotherly countries and share deep historic and cultural ties. He added that Chabahar and Gawadar ports will be sister ports and their operational activity will complement each other.
The Iranian National Security Secretary said that terrorism has no boundaries and it is a common enemy of both the countries, and a stable Afghanistan is in the best interest of both Iran and Pakistan.
He said there is a lot of scope in enhancing cooperation in economic and communication areas between the two countries. He said Pakistan and Iran will establish Fibre Optic link connecting each other.
