PML-N Sindh lawmakers to meet CM Shahbaz

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Irfan ullah Marwat on Monday said that they will meet Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday and with Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday to convey their reservations.

PML-N Sindh legislators have complaints that their party leadership ignored PML-N members during a recent high-level meeting to review law and order in the city at Governor House. They threatened to leave the party if their grievances were not heard.

Talking to PPI, Marwat said that PML-N provincial legislators will meet Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday evening and convey their grievances.

He said that the deadline given to leave the party was withdrawn as the party leadership was ready to hear problems faced by them. “We threatened to sit on independent benches if our grievances were not heard,” he said adding that they would convey their demands to the party leadership in the meeting.

“Neither we have funds, nor we have given jobs to the deserving people which is creating resentment among our supporters who helped party win suitable seats from Sindh,” he said adding that he was hopeful that these issues would be resolved.
