Police gunned down two alleged terrorist


KARACHI: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar claimed that they have killed two alleged terrorist of Abid Muchchar Group in the Superhighway, area of the metropolis.

Anwar said that we raided on a tipoff on a hideout of terrorists near New Sabzi Mandi, and blockaded the area. When terrorist saw the police party they opened fire, while in retaliatory fire, the police gunned down two terrorists, one of them identified as Hameedullah. However, one of their accomplices managed to flee. They were belonged to the Abid Muchchar Group.

SSP said that the accused were planning a terrorist attack in the city. He said the police recovered a SMG, a 9mm pistol and a bag filled with the explosives material.

Police shifted the bodies to the Edhi morgue after medico-legal procedure.
