Policies demanded to facilitate youth

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that his party wanted to prepare the youth for shouldering its future responsibilities and to build them as responsible citizens.

He said that fortunately, almost 65 per cent of the country’s population was youth and they were the future of the country. He said according to different surveys, the youth was Islam loving and patriotic. They wanted their future to be safe and secure and a reasonable job for themselves.

Liaqat Baloch said that there should be playing rounds for the youth and the young men should also take part in national affairs so that their sense of deprivation was removed.

He said that so far, 1.8 million young men had become members of the JI youth. As many as 22,000 young men had taken up their responsibilities after election. In the Punjab, two thousand young men had been elected while intra party elections in Sindh and Balochistan would be held in September next.
