Islamabad: The Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri has strongly condemned the government for not providing the basic human rights to poor masses of the country. Taking to Inqilabi march protesters on Saturday Qadri called on stage the mother and brother of a girl who she claimed was gang-raped in Dera Ghazi Khan and killed herself.
Dr. Tahirul Qadri has condemned the incident and stated that it highlights the plight of the underprivileged in this country. He then asked his supporters, who are in tears, to pray for them and vows to take revenge.
He lashed out government saying the rulers should be ashamed of themselves for not providing justice to people such as the woman standing with him on the stage. “Daughters of the nation are dishonoured in this country,” he added.
Referring to PM Nawaz’s speech earlier during the day and Leader of the Opposition Khursheed Shah’s press conference mirroring the premier’s claim that they will safeguard democracy, Qadri said that leaders have realised the days of their “fake democracy” are numbered.
