PPP delegation meets Independent Senators-elect

QUETTA: Eight Senators elect from Balochistan have assured support to PPP.

This was claimed by PPP sources after meeting of two member delegation with Senators elect in Balochistan as impendent. PPP delegation comprised Faisal Karim Kundi and Dr Qayyum Soomro. Delegation visited Quetta on the directives of its leader Asif Zardari. It held meeting with Independent Senators elect and Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo. It claimed that eight senators elect have assured support.

Dr Soomro said that support of other political parties senators would also be sought. Chairman Senate would be from PPP this time also he added.

On other hand Tehreek Insaf was also preparing to meet independent Senators elect form Balochistan. Jahangir Tareen contacted Anwarul Haq Kakar and congratulated independent Senators elect on their success.

There are 48 seats of PML-N and its allies in Senate while PPP and other parties total strength is 40. Eight independent Senators elect from Balochistan and 4 from FATA can create disturbance in political atmosphere in election of Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate.
