PTI is ready for by elections, Shah Farman

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering and labour Shah Farman has said that PTI is ready for by elections. He said if PML (N) wanted to de-seat PTI MNAs from National Assembly, it would not beg. He said in such a case PTI would fully participate in the by-elections and would win its seats again to prove that no rigging was made in these constituencies.

He expressed these views in a press statement issued here today. Shah Farman said if PML (N) had won the general elections of 2013 on merit, then it should hold by-elections in any one of the four constituencies which we had demanded to reopen so that a decision of public commission should come.

He said some people in PML(N) who were appealing PTI members to come to assembly, were now thinking of de-seating the PTI MNAs but PTI was ready for by –elections as it was not involved in any rigging and was ready to participate in by-elections on any of its victorious constituencies.

Shah Farman said if PML (N) hold free, fair and transparent by-elections in   any one of the four constituencies, it would prove that no rigging was made in the general elections in 2013.  Why the resignations of PTI MNAS were not accepted before coming into assembly and under which law these MNAs were given their salaries, Shah Farman questioned.

Shah Farman said they would happily accept the decision of de-seating their members from National Assembly and they would win all their seats again to prove that they had been elected on merit.

He said PTI would not hesitate to offer sacrifice for the real democracy in the country, and it would sacrifice its provincial government in KP if so needed and would hold free, fair and transparent elections in the province.

PTI was fighting for the establishment of real democracy in the country, therefore, it would not mind the de-seating of its 25 to 30 members from National Assembly, Shah Farman added.
